![]() But immediatly after passing that 73☌ mark, the fans do not react to any tool/software anymore until temperatures drop again. If I set it to 20%, the fans spin up to 20%. If I set the fan speed to 0, the fans stop spinning. ![]() Below this temperature, the fans perfectly react to my settings, regardless of the tool. I can not get it to stop going to 100% speed if the 73☌ are reached. However, using various different tools like Fan Control, MSI Afterburner. Made it so the chip runs a little toasty under 100 all-core load (75-77C), but it’s rare that it sees that, it idles at 45C with a 40 fan speed, and is otherwise pretty whisper quiet. ![]() I tried to adjust the fan speeds to set up a more reasonable curve, where the fans would not spin at all until a certain tempreature is reached and then then evenly increase the speed as the temperatures get highter. Just do it in the BIOS, it has a pretty self-explanatory GUI and fan curve graph you can click on and move. It can be very annoying because the fans are extremly loud at full speed. This appears to be MSIs Cooler Boost "feature". Depending on your laptops model and motherboard, you may be able to control fan speeds in the BIOS or UEFI. Whenever the cards temperature goes above 73☌, the two fans will start to spin at 100% until the temperature drops down below that 73☌ point.
